Interferential Current Therapy, also know as Electrical Muscle Stimulation Therapy is used in our office for both pain relief and tissue repair.
Pain Relief:
The stimulation of nerve cells block the transmission of pain signals and stimulates the release of endorphins which reduces our pain levels.
Tissue Repair:
It is believed that Interferential Therapy can increase localized blood flow which improves healing by removing damaged tissue and increasing the nutrients delivered to promote healing in the injured area.
